SANTA ROSA, Laguna — Alab Pilipinas cruised to its eighth straight win in the Asean Basketball League (ABL) after a 117-93 rout of Formosa at the Santa Rosa Multi-Purpose Sports Complex on Sunday night.

Alab slowly but surely pulled away from the Dreamers and completed the shattering on a 38-point fourth quarter as they came close to matching the league season-high of 120 points set by the Eastern Long Lions on Dec. 17 also against the same Dreamers squad.

Justin Brownlee went 5-for-6 from long range in the second half to lead Alab with 27 points along with 13 rebounds, five assists, four blocks, and two steals.

Renaldo Balkman added 21 markers, 14 boards, six dimes, and five rejections as he held his own against the towering Ronnie Aguilar at the post.

On his birthday, Ray-Ray Parks chipped in 15 points, two rebounds, three assists, and two steals.

Cameron Forte made 29 points, 21 rebounds, five assists, one steal, and one block for Formosa.
