MANILA – The country will continue to experience warm and humid weather due to the prevailing easterlies, the weather bureau said Wednesday.

No low-pressure area was seen inside and outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility, thus fair weather is expected in the next few days, said Patrick del Mundo of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

He added that isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms may be experienced.

Del Mundo said there are high chances of thunderstorms in the afternoon or evening.

Light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas continue to prevail across the archipelago, PAGASA said.

On Tuesday, the highest heat index was recorded by the weather bureau at 46°C at 2 p.m. in Ambulong, Tanauan, Batangas. (PNA)
