DAVAO CITY – The city government received a certificate of commendation from the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) on Tuesday for implementing the Electronic Business One-Stop Shop (eBOSS).

The city was commended for its efforts in streamlining and digitizing government processes, specifically in processing business permits through the eBOSS.

In an interview Wednesday, Maribel Paguican, head of the city's Business Bureau, acknowledged key stakeholders such as the City Information Technology Center (CITC) and the City Treasurer's Office (CTO) for helping implement the digitalization.

"We are grateful for our local chief executive's cooperation and leadership, as well as the council's partnership in uniting all 182 barangays to support ARTA's ease of doing business initiative.," she said.

In accepting the commendation here, ARTA Director General Secretary Ernesto Perez noted in his speech that Davao City is the 29th recipient of the recognition.

Through the eBOSS, Perez said it is easier and more convenient to apply for business permits, attracting more investors to come and invest in the city. (PNA)
