DAVAO CITY – The Land Transportation Office in Davao Region (LTO-11) has collected around PHP2.7 billion in revenues since President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s administration started.

During the Kapihan sa Bagong Pilipinas forum here on Tuesday, LTO-11 Director Eleanor Calderon said the revenues collected are from July 2022 to May 2024.

“As one of the line agencies of the Department of Transportation (DOTr), our mission and vision have always been aligned with the goal of the DOTr.,” Calderon said.

During the same period, she said around 1.3 million motor vehicles were registered, and 409,982 driver’s licenses and student permits were issued.

“Around 168,756 apprehension cases were also handled by LTO-11 and 1.8 million transactions made,” Calderon said, adding that the backlog of motor vehicle license plates has been addressed and the distribution process fast-tracked.

Currently, Calderon said LTO-11 is focused on law enforcement against colorum vehicle operations and apprehension of unregistered motor vehicles. (PNA)
