MANILA – The southwest monsoon or “habagat” will bring rains over the western sections of Southern Luzon and Western Visayas, as well as Metro Manila on Monday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.

 In its 24-hour weather forecast, PAGASA said Palawan and Western Visayas will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms.

 Meanwhile, Metro Manila, Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, and the rest of MIMAROPA will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.

 PAGASA warned that possible flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.

 No tropical cyclone or low pressure area is being monitored inside or outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility, the weather bureau said.

 The entire archipelago will experience light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas.

 The temperature in Metro Manila will range from 25°C to 34°C; Baguio City, 18°C to 25°C; Laoag City, 26°C to 33°C; Legazpi City, 26°C to 33°C; Metro Cebu, 27°C to 33°C; Puerto Princesa City, 26°C to 32°C; and Metro Davao, 24°C to 33°C. (PNA)
