BUTUAN CITY – The Land Transportation Office in the Caraga Region (LTO-13) collected PHP543 million in revenues in 2023.

“The revenues were collected from motor vehicle registration, license transactions, and the intensification of law enforcement operations,” LTO-13 Director Alim Pangandaman said during the Kapihan sa Bagong Pilipinas media forum here on Tuesday.

The agency recorded 325,052 motor vehicle registrations last year, bringing over PHP400 million in revenues.

In the same year, 378,319 license transactions were also logged, garnering PHP129.6 million.

The intensified law enforcement operations also contributed to the collections last year, with 8,691 apprehensions that brought in PHP13.3 million.

Pangandaman attributed the high revenue collection to better enforcement and effective execution of plans and programs, especially in advancing land transportation and improving road safety campaigns for motorists and passengers.

He noted that the agency also improved its transaction services through digitalization. (PNA)
